My career in corporate, commercial and documentary photography and video production has spanned more than 30 years. Early on, I was a freelancer, staffer, and chief photographer at two daily papers. I have covered a multitude of news events, including visits from Presidents, candidates and dignitaries. My true love, however, was for “community journalism,” which allowed me to capture everyday life on a daily basis. In 2001, I spent 10 days traveling across Bosnia documenting an American relief group’s efforts to help the Bosnian children cope with the aftermath of war. My work has been showcased in newspapers, magazines, and media outlets around the world.
In 2006, I took the passion and style I developed as a photojournalist and created my own successful commercial photography and video production business – Minick Photography, LLC – which thrives today. I collaborate with clients to create key photography and video on many long-term advertising and public relations campaigns, in addition to creating the day-to-day content. The goal at Minick Photography, LLC continues to be capturing compelling images and content, maintaining a streamlined workflow, building a collaborative team environment and forming long-term partnerships with our clients.
